This building, which is covered with brick-patterned exterior walls following the image of an old school building, integrates ideas to make use of natural energy in various forms in accordance with the concept of "creating a comfortable environment harmonizing with nature." An atrium measuring 10 meters wide, 40 meters long, and 19 meters high passes through the four stories in the two center locations, east and west of the classroom building. On the first floor are a library, a self-study room, and a computer room. Ordinary classrooms where students spend a lot of time are located on the north side facing a beautiful surrounding environment and through which stable skylight can be introduced, allowing for the efficient use of daylight. In addition, a variety of environmentally-friendly approaches, such as a cooling & heating pit using a piping pit inside double slabs and the use of rainwater, were adopted. As a result, the primary energy consumption and water rate of the school are 506 MJ/m2/year and 0.38 m3/m2/year, respectively, which are much lower than the average school.
