Publication Standards

While there are so many Sustainable Buildings in Japan, the projects on this web site are chosen from the winners of major Japanese awards for Sustainable Buildings, in principle with CASBEE evaluation, which are agreed by the award’s applicants to be included in this database.

For the coming update, the projects will be picked up from the winners of the IBEC Sustainable Building Awards (2005 onwards) and the IBEC Sustainable Housing Awards (2008 onwards). But, at the launch of the website (in June and July, 2008), the first several projects were chosen by this Working Group as samples for this database from the best practices in Japan whose CASBEE evaluations had been already publicized.

The projects will be reviewed once in two years whether to continue to be on the list.
